National Air Guitar Championships Finals in Mexico, Denmark and New Zealand

Friday 30 April will be this year’s busiest air guitar day so far, as national championships finals will be held in three different continents. May kicks off with massive party in Mexico, Denmark and New Zealand as the new national champion will be selected on all of these countries – Let the mayhem begin!

The Air Guitar newcomers of Southern Scandinavia will be let loose in Denmark at the end of the week. The very first national final will take place at Vejle this Friday starting at 8:30 pm. The airiest art form in the world has already attracted plenty of attention from the Danish media and audience, so we are confident that there will be lots of talented competitors in the final.

After a few years’ break, Mexico made a comeback to the international Air Guitar Family. Qualifying contests were held in several cities around the country this spring, and now the time has come to choose the best of the best. The national final rocks out in Mexico City on Friday 30 April. Stay tuned to find out who is the new Mexican Air Guitar Champion!

New Zealand is one of the AGWC Network veterans, and yet again the country is getting prepared for the national final. Those who made it through the semifinals will challenge each other for the airy fame and glory in the 9th national final in Auckland this Friday, from where the winner will be sent to compete in the combined Australian and New Zealand final to Canberra in May.

The National Champions will take part in the Air Guitar World Championships Final in Oulu, Finland on 27 August. AGWC celebrates its 15th anniversary on 25 – 28 August, and this is guaranteed to be the party of the year. Hip hip hoor-air – Everybody’s invited!
