In addition to being a celebration of air, peace and rock'n roll, Air Guitar World Championships is now verifiably one of the most appealing brands in the region of Northern Finland: Oulu Chamber of Commerce awarded Air Guitar World Championships with an Honorary Mention for successful promoting and brand management. The main prizes were granted to a bit less airy but nevertheless very substantial local companies, Northern Seed Potato and ODL Terveys health care.
Oulu Chamber of Commerce awarded companies and brands for successful marketing in Northern Finland in the annual Marketing Forum in Oulu. During the previous years the prizes have been granted to such Finnish brands as successful local ice-hockey team Oulun Kärpät, Technopolis and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival.
